Product R&D Projects
Here at the Powershift Factory we believe in reviving our favorite American muscle cars. These wonderful American cars and trucks from the 80s and 90s are often left forgotten by the aftermarket community. Some of the best engineering of the era went into these cars, they went on to develop the exceptionally potent modern muscle we have today. These old cars built just right can be just as potent as their modern counterparts. We believe we have the right ideas to make that a reality. We're excited to show everyone what we have been working on behind the scenes to achieve that goal!

Bilstein Coilover Conversion
Some ingenious folks on TCCOA had figured out that Mitsubishi 3000GT Bilstein shock inserts could be made to fit the MN12 / FN10 chassis. But this requires some custom fabrication of OE shock body. So we're working to take this concept to the next level by building custom shock adapter from the ground up out of 4130 chromoly that will except standard 2.5" coilover springs and the 3000GT Bilstein insert and be a bolt in conversion option.

Modified Lower Control Arms
The MN12/FN10 chassis utilizes a short-long-arm front suspension design which is by and large the best performance suspension design. Ford designed the front lower suspension to consist of a forged steel lower front lower control arm along with an angled strut rod for maximum caster adjustability. This means the lower control arm is expected to move in 2 axis's and not just one. We believe this is a perfect application for a spherical bearing which will improve responsiveness and reduce binding in the front suspension.

Delrin Front Upper Control Arm Bushings
The squeaking of my front suspension drives me nuts! This is probably because the upper control arm bolts are insanely difficult to access while the car is under full weight to torque putting some pre-load on the rubber bushings. These Delrin bushings will be very free moving and reduce deflection from the stock rubber bushings for improved handling precision and also reduced friction during articulation.

GT500 Big Brake Kit
Mostly we undertook this as a project just to see if we could actually pull it off from theory, CAD drawing to a real functional bolt on part. Meant to be an affordable build it your self as you have money sort of brake upgrade where you don't need to shell out thousands of dollars at one time. Stay tuned on our Youtube channel to see how this one works out!
